Before starting let me let me tell you what is White hat SEO and what is Blackhat SEO?
So as you can assume from their name, black hat refers to all those tricks which Google doesn't allow and that's called illegal SEO.
Same as white hat SEO refers to all those right ways that you do for your blog and Google loves that.
Now come to the point how to protect our website from this kind of black hat SEO attack?
Answer is: analyze your website on regular base
Let me explain:
If you've added your website to Google webmaster tools so you may know that you can see all inside information for your site like who link to your site etc.
So you have to click there and see how many backlinks you got from a single site and analyse those site(s) and if you see any wrong information like those site(s) are selling or doing some illegal activity so immediately contact their founder which you can find in website footer or most probably in header and tell them that kindly remove that backlink that comes from your site to my site which hurt my SEO.
If the site owner does so you are good to go if not so remove your that page/post on which you have got too many backlinks from spammy site so remove that but before removing copy your post/page link so laterally you can dishov from Google Web Master tool.
