How to Make a Squeeze Page That Converts at 21.7%

OK, so it's no secret that people online today are VERY reluctant to give away their email. You can convince them with a free report or email course. And that can help. But you've probably seen yourself that those classic list building strategies are losing their edge.

So what can you do to build your email list? I recommend the Social Squeeze Page. It's a new type of landing page that I added to my blog a few months ago. And it's converting nearly 22% of cold traffic into new email subscribers.

Here's how it works:

First, find a topic that readers in your space are hungry to learn more about. Otherwise they're not going to be willing to hand over their email for more information on that topic.

Next, create your video. Unlike a typical squeeze page video that hard sells visitors, you want your video to provide value.

Step #3 is to add a headline and subheadline to your page. The goal of the headline and subheadline is to get people to watch your video. So you want the headline to list a benefit a visitor will get from watching your video.

Next up, you want to add at least 2 opt-in forms to your page. Like any page that you want to collect emails on, they generally convert best when you add multiple forms.

Finally, you want to make sure your squeeze page allows comments and social shares. That way, the page develops some social proof over time (and helps generate traffic directly to that page).
