After 23 years of experience in the IT sector, Salah chose to upskill himself with PGP in cloud computing for two reasons. Firstly, working as the Chief Information Technology Officer, Salah wanted to gain knowledge about the latest technologies to lead better. Secondly, he was looking for new job opportunities outside his country since he felt his career had stagnated there. For that, he needed a professional certification.
Salah had many admission offers from various universities, but he did not want to stop working since he had a family to take care of. So, he chose Simplilearn, which offers him flexibility. Also, the association with Caltech CTME was a deciding factor for him.
Though he has just completed his course and received his certification in August 2022, he already has a job offer from a European company with a 60% salary hike. He got the job offer because he told them about the cloud computing course that he was taking. Salah will be moving to Europe in Sept 2022 with his family and leading the cloud computing unit there.
He has three daughters, and he feels that by upskilling with Simplilearn, he will now be able to give them better opportunities and assist them with their higher education in Europe.
